Waltham Forest make changes at the top

Waltham Forest have appointed Olawale Ojalabi as first team manager. Wale was previously player manager from January 2009 and under his guidance the Club avoided relegation following a successful run of matches from January to March. With the Club currently at the foot of Isthmian League Division One North it is hoped that he can turn things around for a second time.

Previous manager Tony Mercer has agreed to accept a newly created post of Youth Development Director with a view to bringing on local talent through his contacts with local schools. The Club wants to develop this community aspect of the Club ready for the return to Wadham Lodge as soon as possible in 2011.

The Club has appreciated the hard work and commitment that Tony has shown the Club during a difficult period.
