Walthamstow v Stanway Rovers preview

Walthamstow face Stanway Rovers on Friday night in the Isthmian League Division One North.

Stow made it three wins in a row after a comfortable 2-0 victory at home to Takeley. Debut goals from Umaru Kabia and Teddy Stacey wrapped up a controlling win at Wadham Lodge, lifting Stow further away from the relegation zone.

Stanway were away at Waltham Abbey on Tuesday night, with the home side prevailing in a 1-0 win. Kai Brown was the goalscorer for the Abbotts, sealing the game in the 57th minute.

The previous meeting between Stow and Stanway was just under two months ago, with both teams sharing the points in a 0-0 draw. There wasn’t a real opportunity for either side to steal victory, with Albert Antonescu’s shot on goal the only highlight of the game.
