Wroxham 1-4 Walthamstow
Walthamstow returned from Norfolk with three points thanks to a dominant performance against strugglers Wroxham.
Stow started well; Bilal Sayoud had a free kick saved, Callum Ibe shot over from the edge of the box and Louie Johnson also had an effort stopped.
Around the half-hour mark Wroxham began to grow in the game, and had a shot well-saved by Finn Rushton in the Stow goal, with the ball then being cleared by Dwight Pascal.
This gave Stow the added impetus they needed, and took the lead on 37 minutes when Tayo Oyebola bundled in Jordan Peart’s cross at the back post.
One was two, five minutes later when Tom Coombe in the Wroxham goal made a mess of a front post Bilal Sayoud corner, palming the ball into his own net.
Stow came out of the traps quickly in the second half and were three up when Oyebola nodded home a Sayoud corner for his second.
Harvey Peters did pull a goal back for the hosts from a corner of their own, but Sayoud made sure of the points, slotting home on 71 minutes, after being fed by Johnson.
Despite Wroxham’s lowly position, they had only lost three of their last eleven games, so to put four past them is all the more impressive.
