Journeyman goakeeper who had a brief spell with Leyton Pennant during the 1999-2000 season.

An excellent shot-stopper on his day, but more than capable of a costly mistake – perhaps why his Pennant stay didn’t last all that long.

Chesham, 1998: “Kenny is finished with the club after that. We aren’t here to mess about. I warned people before the game that if they didn’t come up to scratch they would be out.

“He helped keep the club up last year but he also made some mistakes at the end of last season and I was on the lookout for a new goalkeeper.

“I have never felt embarrassed in football before, but I did that night against Brentford”, said Chesham manager Graham Roberts.

Enfield, 2001: “Enfield: Five minutes later, Pickett set up the last goal. Addai dribbled the ball well outside his penalty area, but his kick downfield was won by the Hendon defence. Pickett, from just outside his penalty area, launched a huge downfield kick and substitute Nartey chased the loose ball.

Addai went across to deal with the danger but, being outside the penalty area had to use his head to clear the ball. He was outjumped by Joe Nartey, whose header bounced a couple of times into the unguarded net.”

Boreham Wood, April 2003 “Minutes later at the opposite end Campion picked up a poor Addai clearance, ran at the defence and sent a low shot toward Addai, who, in diving forward, managed to let the ball slip through his legs, gifting the visitors with the lead. That combined with some inaccurate kicking left his team-mates with an uphill struggle.
A hideous misjudgement from stand-in keeper Kenny Addai, who rose arms outstretched to seemingly claim a long throw in from Everitt, only to spill the ball, gifted Valenti with a free tap-in for Borough’s opener after just nine minutes.”

He returned to Boreham Wood in September 2004 as player/goalkeeping coach and then joined Wealdstone in the summer of 2005.

By 2015, Addai was goalkeeper coach at south-London side Dulwich Hamlet.

He left Hamlet to take over the managerial reins at Hackney Wick, then in the Middlesex County League, but was given the boot after just two friendlies.
