Tilbury v Walthamstow preview

Walthamstow travel out to Essex on Saturday to take on Tilbury in the Isthmian League Division One North.

Stow were on the road in midweek and made the trip to Stanway Rovers where the points were shared in a fair encounter with neither side unable to break the deadlock.

Tilbury also played during midweek in the Essex Senior Cup as they tore apart a young Braintree Town side 8-1. The Dockers went six goals up before Braintree got a consolation, but goals from Jack Hayes and Oliver Spooner’s second of the game made it eight.

The two meetings between Stow and Tilbury ended in wins for either side. Stow hosted the Dockers in September and came out as 3-0 winners. Brian Moses got the first goal in the first half, with Tayo Oyebola scoring the second and Bilal Sayoud getting the third. The reverse fixture was originally meant to be played in November but got postponed three times before the game was played in late January. Tilbury came out victorious on the night with Olly Sotoyinbo on the score sheet for the Dockers.
