Walthamstow v Lowestoft Town preview
Walthamstow host Lowestoft Town this weekend on Non-League Day in the Isthmian League.
Stow made the midweek journey to Canvey Island to face off against Concord Rangers in the rearranged fixture, in which the hosts picked up three points in a 3-2 win. Former Stow striker Khris Oti gave Stow the lead 15 minutes in before Callum Ibe punished on a defensive mistake to make it 1-1 at half time. Concord then went 3-1 up through Reggie Gregory and Thomas Sykes with Charlie Heatley pulling one back to make it 3-2. Stow weren’t able to find a leveller and the Concord held on to the victory.
Lowestoft took on Brantham Athletic on Saturday away from home, with the bottom of the league side winning 1-0. Reuben Chinnery’s goal in the 23rd minute of the first half was enough to give the already relegated side the three points.
The last time both sides faced off was at the beginning of March when Stow made the Tuesday trip up to the seaside and picked up three points in a 4-0 win. Brian Garzon scored a hattrick in the space of 25 minutes, with Callum Ibe making it 4 just after half time. Lowestoft were reduced to 10 men when Connor Deeks was shown a second yellow card in the 73rd minute
