Great Wakering – Waltham Forest 27/11/10
Tomorrow sees us travel to Great Wakering Rovers for a second time this season. After a good point away to Potters Bar (who beat Great Wakering 6-5 only a week ago), the squad will have renewed hope of picking up a first away win of the season.
Our record against Great Wakering at Borroughs Park is not terrible, but it could be better. In twelve games, we have won three, drawn three and lost the rest. However, our last win away from home against Rovers came in August 2007, when two goals from Darren Greives – his only two for the club – and one from Obi Nene saw us grain three points through a 3-2 win.
Rovers are currently occupying a mid-table position, as has been the habit for them in recent years.
Leyton have just appointed George Boateng as manager, and will no doubt be boyed going into their game against Boateng’s former club, Cheshunt. Redbridge and Ilford, both of who lost at the weekend, face tough challenges in Ware and Thamesmead respectively.
Bwin see the game as follows:
Home Win: 3/5
Draw: 13/5
Away Win: 17/5
